house 18
story
A lakefront retreat in the Pacific Northwest, House18 is conceived as a seamless extension of its natural terrain. Concrete walls root the home into the hillside, while broad spans of glass dissolve boundaries between interior and horizon, capturing the shifting light and reflections of the lake beyond. A procession of terraces and reflecting pools bridges the transition between land, water, and sky, guiding passage through moments of stillness and connection. Balancing weight and transparency, the architecture offers an elemental retreat shaped for gathering, reflection, and enduring legacy.
